signature links are worthless..!!

Guys signature links in forum, are they useful? do they really give out traffic? or are they just worthless. please participate in the poll and if possible post in why u thing its useful or useless

I don't think it's useless, the traffic won't be huge, but it will be targeted, nothing bad to use it.

It depends upon an individuals personal interest for visiting the link or not, but still you can try it out If the forums have a large number of visitors visiting the forums everyday but you will also have to make sure that the forums allow you to have signature in your link, as most of the forums dont allow. Also you need to have good number of posts on each board so that your link is visible to all the users who visit the forums.

Links with signature can definitely help you to get traffic as well as backlinks from the respective forum. If the backlinks are quality backlinks, you will get better rankings in the search engines for the specific keywords in the signature which will result into more traffic from the search engines as well

IMO links with signature are useful.
According to SEO point of view one should use signature only in forums with do follow attribute for backlinks as suggested by others and for traffic one should concentrate on posting quality post/threads, only then people would like to visit your website.

Links added to the signature of forums is definitely not worthless,instead you can expect to have organic traffic rushing to your website/s.This is possible only when you have an active participation in the forums and your replies are helpful for people.Depending on the quality of your replies,people are going to judge your knowledge and would become curious and interested in visiting your website which you have added in the forum signature.

Well, If you try to increase your PR from the backlinks from the Forums, It would be a hard try as you may find many such OBL links from the forum page and such backlinks has less weight age.

Forum signature are very useful to you in the sense of visibility, Branding the organisation, and also it can bring you a good sales and traffic to your site.

For me it is USEFULL.

Tbh, i can consider it driving traffic and backlink, but i am not sure if i can digest the fact of increase in PR. Don't forget it's just an Google Algo to rank websites

Some people use forums for increasing the backlinks to their websites, but IMO. it may help you to some extend. The forums can be considered as a good medium for branding your website/s. It has been observed that,when a forum gets huge visitors and has high traffic,the owners stop offering DO-FOLLOW backlinks,this can instead be harmful for your website from SEO perspective.
