    Hello Friends

    Here I would like to ask a question about value of backlink. Which of the following backlinks is more valuable from your point of view? Please let me know.

    Dofollow Backlink from a webpage with PR 0

    Nofollow Backlink from a webpage with PR 4-5


    Please share your views over this.

    Views of different members might vary, but my sugestion would be Dofollow Backlink from a webpage with Page Ranking 0 rather than Nofollow Backlink from a webpage with Page Ranking 4-5.

    Other members are also welcome to post their views on the same so we can have a kind of debate on it.

    Nofollow Backlink from a webpage with PR 4-5 would definitely be a better option. One of the worst assumption regarding backlinks website owners and some SEO professionals have is that they feel, Nofollow backlinks do not have any sort of value. The truth is, Nofollow backlinks do have certain level of value but it's less in comparison Dofollow backilnks but that doesn't mean Dofollow Backlink from a webpage with PR 0 will have more value than Nofollow Backlink from a webpage with PR 4-5.

    If the website with PR 0 is good enough then definitely its PR will improve in near future so my preference is also to it.

    Many SEO experts suggest to collect maximum backlinks without considering the factor nofollow or dofollow, as approaching both of them would be a wise move from my point of view also.

    Webpages with Page Ranking 4-5 have good amount of traffic, so the backlink from such pages also worth a lot.

    Well I would never like to waste my time over the backlinks which are nofollow and from the pages having PR of 0-3.

    Directory submission is one of the good examples of what you mean to say, Its waste of time.
