    Minimum Requirements
    vBulletin is a web-based application and as such has a few minimum requirements. To run vBulletin, you need a web hosting provider that includes the following things:

    * PHP version 5.2.0 or greater
    * MySQL version 4.1.0 or greater
    * A pre-registered domain name
    * 200 Megabytes of hard drive space

    The vBulletin software will run on any operating system using any modern web server software.

    Thanks

    The first important thing to consider is the server resources that is going to be consumed by the vBulletin forum. Once you know your basic hosting requirements, you can choose a web hosting plan accordingly. Since, it is completely based on PHP and MySQL, preferably you should a Linux based web hosting plan.
