    Hi Travis ,

First of all you need to check your Local Area Connection icon, check if it is Blinking or there is a Red Cross mark on that?
If there is a Red Cross mark on the icon then it is a Connectivity Problem.

To solve the Connectivity Problem you need to check the Cable if it is connected or not. And if the Cable is connected properly on the LAN Card then check if LED is blinking or not. And if LED is not Blinking then there is a problem with the cable on the switch, check if this is connected properly or check the Crimping of Cable.
Another Reason for the Red Cross Mark’s to appear can be the Ethernet Drivers not installed on your system. The Red Cross mark will appear on your Local Area Connection Icon.

No Cross mark on network icon & Internet is not working.

First of all you should check the connectivity through Ping command i.e. open the command prompt and type ping hxxp://yourdomain.com.

If after that if it gave the Reply from this Site then your Internet is Working but if it did not gave reply so your should check the Ip Address or your System Network Settings.

To Check the Network Settings visit the below mentioned :-

If you are able to access other websites and getting problem for the your website then you there is a issue with the network connectivity of the server on which your website has been hosted.

I have seen some examples of domain name expiration for not getting the access of the websites. But in such cases webmasters (who mostly are bloggers and holds domain name temporarily ) are very well aware about its expiration and don't need to check the website.

yes Caleb is right, very few bloggers have plan for a long period of time blogging. Most of web hosting companies send domain name expiry notice before 1 month of the expiry date so they are very well aware of the expiration of the domain name of their blogs.

Such domains normally come under shared hosting because no vps or dedicated hosting customer plans for a short term business.
