If one already have a Windows Server 2008 OS platform then he need not much expenses for a Hyper-V Server.

Yeah Hyper-V also provides free migration on Windows Server 2008. In case of VMware there is a change for migrations.

So far virtualization is concern still experts believe in VMware but as Microsoft is taking high efforts on Hyper-V the battle seems to be interesting in the future.

The most important reason for which I would rate Hyper-V better than VMware is users of Hyper-V work through a command prompt which reduces risk and less patch. This also reduces number of server restarts. Most of us know that frequent restarts of server is not good for virtual environment as it brings down all the instances and application running on it.
