I would like to highlight the few following drawbacks of it.

Such type of mail Alerts do not work with Hotmail(Free email service provider) accounts.

If the version is old one then it will not show that actual pop-up(as we know it typically as visually), and you need to rely on the sound it generates.

If the messages are in encrypted format then they are excluded and you miss those alerts.

All modern versions of Outlook Express comes with the option 'display a notification when new message arrives'.

But Raj was clearly talking about 'Outlook Express' and you was telling him the drawbacks of 'Outlook'.

Thosugh many people think that Outlook Express is better than the normal Outlook but synching abilities of Outlook are better than Outlook Express when it is used for portable devices such as Loptops and Notebooks.
