    Default What is H-Sphere?

    A scalable multiserver webhosting control panel that provides complete hosting automation for Linux, BSD & Win2000/2003 platforms, is easy to use, and has extensive user interface, billing solution, brandable resellers, and integrated trouble ticket system.

    Lightbulb H-Sphere

    H-Sphere is a Control Panel written in Java and works with any SQL-compliant database. It runs only industry standard software.

    H-Sphere Requirements
    ===================
    • A minimum configuration can be installed on one box, but more is recommended.
    • If you are going to install H-Sphere to only one computer, make sure it is at least Pentium III, 500MHz CPU and 512MB RAM.
    • Adding SiteStudio will require at least 1000MHz CPU and 1GB RAM.

    Other Requirements
    =================
    • Full control of DNS, mail, web and other hosting servers is a must while installation and testing.
    • H-Sphere can be installed only on public IPs.
    • To provide domain registration services with OpenSRS, you will need a Full Access account.
    • To get it, contact OpenSRS tech support, and tell them you will be using H-Sphere. They will waive the requirements for the full test.

    To accept credit cards in real-time, you will need an account and gateway access

    Plesk is the control which is preferred after the cPanel control panel.

    H-Sphere has been one of the renowned control panels in the web hosting industry, however, when compared with Plesk, Plesk is considered to be a better option due to it's features and stability and hence I would suggest you to consider Plesk control panel

    H-Sphere is one of the best control panels. It is designed for both Linux and windows. As every Control has some different features , it has a built in support for billing and support for 20 Gateways. It also provides the Site builder named Site Studio .

    Plesk control panel is also supported on Linux as well as Windows operating systems, however, it is more stable with Windows operating system and hence it is recommended that you select Plesk if you choose Windows.

    If you select Linux operating system, cPanel/WHM control panel is the best control panel and hence you should choose it

    I have always wondered what H-sphere was, now I know. Is there a non industry standard equivalency of H-sphere, and if so what is it called?

    Well, I am not sure what you mean by Industry Standard Equivalency, however, I can tell you that Positive Software, who look after H-Sphere control panel is owned by Swsoft which is the Parent Company of Parallels, the same Company which offers Plesk control panel
