GLB is Global Load Balancing which actually involves a number of Servers in different datacenters across various Countries around the World. This kind of setup is generally required by websites which require high availability and are accessed from various Countries around the World.
Hope this helps![]()
GLB is not a new concept but it is not used by many people. The biggest example of GLB is Google Search Engine, they have their servers in every country. This service is expensive when compared to a normal Load Balancing.
Load balancing when implemented across the Globe becomes Global load balancing
As stated above it is a expensive technique to implement and not many organizations go for it,however as the business expansions of some organizations flourish in geographically diverse areas , GLB can help them at the best.
Global Load Balancing can only be considered by organizations which are expecting business from all around the World as this solution is very expensive and only organizations which can afford this solution should go for it. Best Example, Google (as mentioned before).
Yes GLB is the concept for global companies which cant afford even a minute of downtime like google or companies which needs to have servers all over the globe its expensive and reliable solution but only few organisations can afford it........
Hello Friends..
We can call it as Global Server Load Balancing; it is used for distributing the workload evenly across computing machines, networks and processing units etc. It basically enhances utilization of resources and enables maximum throughput with minimum response time hence avoiding overloading of a single server.
