There used to be only three kinds of lines to use (Videostream, Sata Stream, IPstream) Now that there are so many more do these different kinds of lines matter anymore?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ASDL is kind of like super DSL right? In my opinion, cable, especially T1 is far superior to DSL of any type.
Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a technology that provides digital data transmission over the wires of a local telephone network.
ADSL is a type of DSL i.e Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) in which the bandwidth allotted for upstream and downstream is unequal.More bandwidth is allocated for downstream than upstream in ADSL
ADSL works by splitting your phone line signal into two separate channels, one for normal voice usage, and the other for data usage.
A big advantage of having an ADSL line is not missing calls while you're online, as both voice and data can be transferred at the same time.
While on the other hand T1 ,T2, T3 i.e trunk digital lines lines are the static leased lines which are rented on monthly basis which have a set bandwidth as follows :
T1: 1544 kbps
T1c: 3152 kbps
T2: 6312 kbps
T3: 44736 kbps
many more fast technologies are developed which provides a speed of 1 Gbps
